Overview
George is a small-time crook just out of prison who discovers his tough-guy image is out of date. Reduced to working as a minder/driver for high class call girl Simone, he has to agree when she asks him to find a young colleague from her King's Cross days. That's when George's troubles just start.
The film does a great job at depicting the dark world of sex for money. However, it is the interpersonal relationships in this world that are the most interesting part of the world. Bob Hoskins plays a man who is deeply conflicted by his emotions and the ugly world around him. Of course, he is part of that ugliness, even though he struggles to be better. The three leads are terrific, although I wanted to like it more than I probably did.

My Review
