Overview
An 18th birthday mushroom trip brings free-spirited Elliott face-to-face with her wisecracking 39-year-old self. But when Elliott’s "old ass" starts handing out warnings about what her younger self should and shouldn't do, Elliott realizes she has to rethink everything about family, love, and what's becoming a transformative summer.
While the movie felt fresh from the very beginning, I must say that I was not prepared for the turn in the last act (I gasped out loud). I thought that this was going to be a fun quirky indie stoner movie, but the movie stayed with me for some time afterward. What would I do in that situation? While a similar question has been asked in other movies, I thought that this was a really fabulous and simple way to state the question. It is one of the best movies of the year.

My Review
While the movie felt fresh from the very beginning, I must say that I was not prepared for the turn in the last act (I gasped out loud).
