Overview
Riley has recently been discharged from rehab after struggling with food and body image issues. She soon meets Ethan and finds herself navigating the line between unconditional love and a new addiction.
One of the difficult aspects of dealing with a character with an illness in a movie is that you don’t want the movie to turn into a Lifetime movie. This film does a pretty decent job avoiding that trap, and I would even say that I was impressed at how it treated that character as an equal in the movie. Everyone has issues, and those issues can get in the way of relationships. I wish that the movie had been a bit more compelling, although I thought that the ending was excellent.
