Overview
An adopted Dublin girl sets out to find her birth mother in London, despite knowing the woman has no desire to meet with her.
I have a few people in my life who have experiences being adopted and have had the trauma of meeting their birth mother and/or father. This movie does a nice job of capturing the difficulty in that meeting by showing that each person’s life is then turned upside down. The movie that takes a major turn and becomes something quite different than where the viewer thinks it is going to go. I don’t know why the actress that plays the mother isn’t a bigger star – she is fantastic.
