Overview
Mary and Statton's one-night stand at a hotel gets interrupted by a robbery, and the complete strangers are forced to help each other navigate the seedy underbelly of a sleepy Welsh island in order to get back their stolen property.
I have to admit that I had no idea as to what genre this movie might be considered. It seemed to do a little bit of everything: comedy, drama, thriller, hallmark, etc. One of its major problems (besides the script and cast) is that it does all of these things really poorly. It wasn’t funny and it certainly wasn’t dramatic. The whole thing just felt like a really amateurish effort. The cast isn’t good but the script does them no favors. If the leads had any chemistry at all there may have been something of worth but there is absolutely nothing there. I dare say that if the movie tried a little harder to be worse it might have worked as a farse. After all, that twist at the end almost made me laugh out loud at how out-of-place it was (then again, given that the movie is a mess maybe it completely fits). Yes, it is that bad.
