Sword of Trust

If you’ve never seen a Lynn Shelton movie I beg you not to start with this one.  She has made so may great films – Laggies, Outside In and especially Your Sister’s Sister.  There isn’t inherently wrong with the film.  The problem is that there isn’t necessarily great about it either.  We understand a bit about all of the characters but none of them are all that interesting nor do we really care about them all that much.  It seems that the whole movie is some vehicle to get to the final scene (which is very good)…. I felt like I was watching it in real time.  Very underwhelming.  Probably another good example of a film getting good reviews on rotten tomatoes because a good review is anything above 50%.
