Overview
In Venice Beach, naive Midwesterner JB bonds with local slacker KG and they form the rock band Tenacious D. Setting out to become the world's greatest band is no easy feat, so they set out to steal what could be the answer to their prayers... a magical guitar pick housed in a rock-and-roll museum some 300 miles away.
If you were a fan of the HBO show you will appreciate this movie. However, that is part of the problem… this movie is really just an extension of that same series. While this may have worked in 25 minute segments on HBO it is a little awkward here. Overall it was worth the time for a true fan, maybe not so much so for anyone else.

My Review
If you were a fan of the HBO show you will appreciate this movie. However, that is part of the problem… this movie is really just an extension of that same series.
