This movie probably would have worked a hundred times better as a short where the friends watch the trailers for 80s movies in the theater. I am a child of the 80s and even I was done with the nostalgia after 10 or 20 minutes of it. It is a bit of a shame because I actually kind of liked the first 15 minutes of the movie. It was like Smith was trying to re-make The Sandlot over the course of an afternoon, and it didn’t work at all.
