Overview
Hildy Good, a wry New England realtor and descendant of the Salem witches who loves her wine and loves her secrets. Her compartmentalized life starts to unravel as she rekindles an old romance and becomes dangerously entwined in one person’s reckless behavior.
This movie really snuck up on me. When we meet Weaver’s character, we see that she is a brash and outspoken real estate agent that appears to be completely sure of herself. As the movie progresses, the transformation into something else is slow and fascinating. This is easily Weaver’s best work in many years, and she absolutely crushes it. My only criticism of the film is Kline’s attempt at a New England accent – it is uneven and distracting.
