Overview
Career con man Roy sets his sights on his latest mark: recently widowed Betty, worth millions. And he means to take it all. But as the two draw closer, what should have been another simple swindle takes on the ultimate stakes.
The film is as well acted as you would expect a movie that starred Mirren and McKellen would be. The problem is that the plot is meticulously spelled out over the first 30 minutes, but then an astute viewer can fairly easily see how much time is left and what direction the story could realistically go. While the full details of the twist were appreciated, this movie went in the only direction that it could.
