Overview
An aging screen icon gets lured into accepting an award at a rinky-dink film festival in Nashville, Tenn., sending him on a hilarious fish-out-of-water adventure and an unexpectedly poignant journey into his past.
I think that Adam Rifkin made something really unique and special. First and foremost, he takes an actor and puts him in a story where the events line up with his real life. This allows the audience to get a fantastic insight into the mind of the actor – this alone was worth the price of admission. As I get older, these kinds of movies resonate with me in a way that they didn’t when I was a younger man. I think that the final twenty minutes was the best part of the movie and it was really sweet where they went with the movie. I hope that this movie was as much of a treat for Reynolds as it was for the audience.
