I had seen and enjoyed many of Ken Loach’s movies before I realized who he is and what he is about.  This movie really has so much going for it:  it is charming, moving and it carries a great message.  While the veteran actors do a fantastic job, it is the actress that plays the young refugee that absolutely steals the movie and functions as its emotional centerpiece.  Its a shame that the people that need to see movies like these will never see them.  For some reason, people who are down on their luck do in fact blame the people below them.
