Overview
A cold and mysterious new security guard for a Los Angeles cash truck company surprises his co-workers when he unleashes precision skills during a heist. The crew is left wondering who he is and where he came from. Soon, the marksman's ultimate motive becomes clear as he takes dramatic and irrevocable steps to settle a score.
I had a rather odd experience while watching this movie. As we settled into the story we began to see that we are only seeing certain parts of the story. Ritchie than takes a step back and starts to unfurl more of the movie. I was really enjoying this…. until the unfurling of the past ended and the final act of the movie played out. I then realized that I had enjoyed the storytelling device more than I did the actual story. I could see using this effect in a mystery but the only mystery in this movie was what we haven’t been shown yet. Did he start out with this intent or did he add it later when he realized that the story wasn’t interesting enough on its own? Either way, not among Ritchie’s better movies.
